The Orcas LGBT community publicly joined the Island’s July 4th Community Parade to show their support for Referendum 74. It was the first time that the Orcas LGBT community social group – Out on Orcas – has made a political statement. Read about it in the Seattle Times/UW Election Eye.
The signature deadline for 2012 ballot measures was Friday July 6. We can now say that Washington voters will see six statewide measures on the ballot in November.
